June 8—Greetings From Santiago

Hola!

Greetings from Santiago! It has been a great first week in Chile. Team YouthHOPE met up with the Urban Action Ministries team on Tuesday and has been quickly integrated into Chilean culture. The team was paired off and placed into host homes from the church we are working at: Iglesia de Cristo. Each morning we make our way to the church from our host homes and have devos as a team. Then the missionaries we work with, Habbacuc and Liz Diaz, teach us about the culture and the youth they work with. Today we observed a Youth Specialties youth workers' conference and got to join a Bible study group from the church. We feel so welcome in this country and are loving being here! We are excited to see where God takes us this summer! Thank you for the prayers and support! We appreciate it so much.

Elisha: Hey, family and friends! I LOVE it here. My host family is amazing and I am learning a lot about the culture and the language. I might be able to converse with Jeremy in Spanish when I come home (no promises)! :) Thank you SO MUCH for the letters! They have been wonderful to read each day :) Please give everyone kisses from me. I love and miss you guys!
