July 6—Village life in Kenya, 20/20 style
Hey everyone! Team Kenya just returned from 3 days of boma (a Maasai village containing 5-20 homes) stays.  During our 3 weeks in Morloo, we formed good relationships with the students and their families, so we returned to live life with them for a few days.  The experience was remarkable, ask any of these guys when you see them next and you’re sure to hear more details…but for now, we have an interview highlighting the time in Maasai bomas. Team Kenya,

I thought of y'all tonight on my way back from a worship meeting in Murfreesboro, TN. The night was cool, the moon full, the air smelled like the fires in the Maasai homes and I had a hankering for a cup of chai... May God richly bless you with His love - you and everyone you encounter. <3

Love y'all,
Mary (team Kenya 2007)

Elizabeth, I miss you too and will pray for you and the team to finish strong! Manuel and Paty cannot come due to vacation cancellations because of the swine flu (they are not ailing with it). We will wait to go to TN so all four of us can go together. Love you so much! You are being the hands of feet and Jesus and loving people, which you do so well. Love, Mom

Hey Team K!

I hope you are enjoying the relationships you are forming with everyone and really recognizing how you probably went there with the intention of being a teacher in so many aspects... and now you find yourself reveling in the joys of being the student. God is teaching you beauty in simplicity and humbleness in hard situations. It's been a joy keeping up with you guys and reliving my Kenya experience through what God is doing with yours!

Now Matt... Pueblo Tortuga, please quit hitting your sister Wigwam! Find Kitamoni for me and say hello before you go, ok? :)

Elise Sanders!!! I just love being able to see your pretty face, even if its just in pictures!!! I got your letter in Narok and hopefully mine will be waiting for you when you get back today!!! :)
I have so many amazing stories to share with you and I know you'll have even more to share with me!! I'm soooo sad we couldn't meet up in Narok but I'm glad to still know you've been doing great! Coming home is really hard. A lot harder than I ever expected. And I know that you being there so much longer is going to be even harder. But we've got each other who understand and to be there for support. Praise God for that! I hope you and Beth can meet up, I'm heartbroken I didn't get to see her even though we were only hours apart! Keep having fun and working hard, I know it can be exhausting but it'll be over before you know it so live it to the full! Miss you with ALL my heart and I'm praying for you everyday! Sorry this is so long. Love you future roomie :D Eat some chipati and drink some chai for me haha
