June 19—Leave for Thailand soon!

Family, Friends, Supporters:

It's hard to believe today is 1 week from when we leave for Thailand! We are feeling so at home with the people and the lifestyle that it will be hard to go, but we're excited to see what Christ has for us in Chaing Mai. It is amazing to reflect on all that has happened here and realize it has only been 3 weeks.

We got to attend church this past Sunday at TCC (Tamwe Christian Center). Manna spoke, Bri taught the adult class, and Angela and Madison led the children's SS. All of the songs were available in English and it was a blessing to be able to sing along. Tuesday, we taught at the English speaking school and tomorrow we will be going bowling with those students. We also got to visit some of the Christian member's homes from TCC, share scripture with them, and pray for their needs. Wednesday we traveled to the outskirts of town to a village and visited a small  church  that needed lots of encouragement. We had such a great time with the women at this church. They had prepared a meal for us and gave us each a "Burmese" name.

A few random snippets of our past week also include: attempting to teach line dancing, attending the Myanmar National League Football game between Yangon and Mandalay, and recording the old classic "I'll Fly Away" at the studio of a very popular Burmese band called Iron Cross that uses their music to witness to others. Although highly demanded, we did not give them permission to release this to the top ten.

We have had trouble getting on our email and are unable to communicate that way for the moment.

Thanks for your support. We love you.

Hola Team Myanmar/Thailand!! I am so excited and encouraged to hear about all the exciting things happening in Myanmar. I am so glad you two have been blessing others and in turn being blessed by the nationals. It sounds like you have truly enjoyed the people of Myanmar and I am so energized to hear your stories and see the relationships between you and the nationals and each other grow!! I love you girls and keep loving each other and others and continue being Christ to those around you.
