Alys West

Alys West joined NMSI in spring of 2006. That following fall she spent two months in Ukraine under the guidance of Nickolai and Svetlana Balanenko. During her time there with the pastor and his wife, she learned of the needs of many disabled children. In the summer of 2008 she returned to Ukraine to serve full time.

Currently, one orphanage that is home to about 200 mentally and physically disabled children is the focus of her ministry in Ukraine. Showering them with love and teaching basic skills encourages these kids. Helping to teach children at a local school for the hearing impaired also provides avenues to reach the children of Ukraine with Christ’s love.

As the body of Christ grows she hopes to provide connections for believers to serve in the community.
